The blends R450a is based on R134a/R1234ZE and is a zeotropic blend in the modern phase of HFO’s replacing HFC’s. In ASHRAE stated as nonflammable and non-toxic.
Applications similar to R134a and fits well in heat pumps, DX medium temperature refrigeration, primary stage in Co2- cascade system and chillers.
