Propane is an ideal and efficient source of energy. Liquid gas flame does not produce sulphur, heavy metal or toxic emissions. When propane burns, mainly carbon dioxide and water vapour forms, i.e. the same materials as from human exhalation.
Propane is highly efficient because the clean combustion allows for direct combustion applications. In this case, the combustion gases are passed to a heated space and a separate heat exchanger is not required. The liquid gas flame is also easy to adjust.
Inindustry propane is used in various ways in the different heating and production processes, such as manufacturing glass, steel and ceramics. Propane is also used for melting, annealing, discharging, drying and soldering.
At construction sites propane is used for heating, drying, curing concrete and roof work.
Propane is a popular fuel in forklift trucks, ice-skating rink freezing machines, cleaning machines and other vehicles that are used indoors due to the clean combustion of the fuel.
In greenhouses propane is used to produce heat and carbon dioxide in order to increase the growth rate and yield of plants.
In cooking propane is popular amongst professional and amateur chefs due to its high calorific value and flexible adjustability.
